Just a heads up, wastelanders: I’m having a sale to shift stuff from my etsy shop, this Fallout 3 cross-stitch sampler is now only £30 ($47.50)!
Deck out your post-apocalyptic home in Vault-Tec style, and have a great day.

If you’re one of the awesome Fallout fandom geeky types that’s been following me, I thought I’d give you a headsup that I started a Fallout-themed blog. It started out of a dare my friend gave me to do a playthrough of Fallout New Vegas screencapping non-named NPCs, and now it’s sort of turned into a little project; but anyhow, it’s really nerdy, and it lives here: The Lives of Fallout NPCs.
I’ve been totally hooked on messing with oversized tshirts to turn them into dresses, completely thanks to Green.
I am stupidly pleased with this one! Also I don’t have any makeup on and I don’t EVEN CARE, I AM TOO HAPPY
For some reason, I haven’t been able to upload screencaps to Steam for ages now. So there, I treat you to this utterly classy upskirt on tumblr instead.
I have some GLORIOUS Old World Blues caps but I don’t want to spoiler anything for anyone. By the way, is that the best DLC ever or what? Laugh out loud funny dialogue, a fantastic and moving storyline, great progression, engaging gameplay, KICKASS WEAPONS, super-awesome enemies?! I’m seriously impressed.
I’m rockin’ a Legion playthrough at the moment, which is hard when my brother is playing TF2 in my room, because he constantly makes these judgemental comments over my shoulder: “RUUUU, how could you DO that? He is a BAD MAN! You killed all those dudes? But she was SO NICE! Now you’re wearing her clothes! You’re TERRIBLE!” x10000. Seriously. It’s roleplaying, bro!
In other FalloutNewz, I’ve been totally hooked on reading coffeeminx’s fanfiction lately. It’s completely perfect. I’ve put it on my kindle because I’m all futuristic like that, and I’ve been reading it in bed and eating ice-cream. That’s the life, right?
The NCR cross-stitch is (very nearly) FINISHED! I go through a cycle with these things of super excited—-> incredibly consumed by tedium —-> super excited again. Repeat ad infinitum. Right now I’m super excited! SO GLAD to have seen this thing through to completion.
This thing just needs neatening up, rinsing, ironing and framing, then it’ll be up on etsy. And then I can rest my calloused thumbs, strained eyes, and weird aching pain that travels between my wrist and my shoulder! Hurrah!
I just got a lovely message on etsy from someone who found my Rex plushie on deviantart and wanted to commission me for another. I twitched a bit, because being a maverick genius and all, I tend to make up my patterns as I go along, and then throw away the workings-out afterward. It’s an absolutely crap system for making repeat versions of things.
Anyway the happy news is that I found this photo lurking on my camera: it’s a work in progress shot of all the basic body pieces laid out side by side, and pretty clearly shows what goes where and how! It appears I’m not such a grade-A idiot after all?! This is such a nifty system and it’ll definitely make creating another one a lot easier.
Also I have slightly more sewing knowhow now as well as bona-fide plastic dog noses, so this one ought to be better!
On a sidenote, I really like making dogs. I was thinking about packaging the basic pattern that I use as a hand-drawn pdf complete with cute snarky narration: it’d be helpful as an exercise to get my process formalised, as well as something I could stick in ye olde etsy shop for next to nothing. I might just do that, when I finish off the stuff I’ve got on the go at the moment.
Nuka Break Update #3
You guys remember Nuka Break, right? That amazing live-action Fallout fanvideo? Really, how could you not. IT WAS AMAZING.
Well, it’s being turned into a legitimate web series, and they’re currently raising money for it. I’ve already donated $50 to it (yeah, that’s where my commission money went), since I really do want to see this project bear fruit. So, y’know, if you want to help (and you can help) these guys make something awesome, head on over there and pitch in.
Reblogging this because Nuka Break was one of the best things I have ever seen in my life ever. These dudes are the cat’s pyjamas.

This thing is nearly finished! Just needs neatening up, text added around the edges, washing/ironing and then framing. I’ll be glad to see the end of this project, for something I thought up on a whim to fiddle with my cross-stitch software, it’s taken me over 40 hours, and nearly crippled my left hand….
